A few ago weeks I met a really cool couple who are planning to get married this year on July 1st. Although they were not engaged yet. They actually booked me as their photographer before Jeff proposing to Lisa. I talked to Jeff and suggested that I would like to be part of the surprise, when he proposes. Yesterday, Sunday the 12th of February was the day. We decided that most likely Fish Creek Park by the Ranch would be a good location at 11 am there would not be to many people or photographers at the certain location we picked. Well, it was a nice warm day, I got there 30 minutes earlier to find the best spot where I could hide. While waiting I see other couples and photographers arriving before mine and eye balling the spot that I picked!  :)
I had to ask them if it would be ok, for a few minutes and left this spot open for me, thanks Samantha and Zev for being so accommodating. I had to jump out of my hiding spot all the time to secure our position. I was almost as nervous as Jeff proposing, you cant go wrong with the photos its a one time thing. I guess my sniper training came in hand for scouting out the best location for the shot! Yes I was in the military when I was younger!
Hiding behind a tree on a ridge shooting with my 300mm 2.8 lens and extender, I got the photos that I wanted and witnessed now for the 2nd time (other couple) a live proposal!
Congratulation guys, I had a fun day with both of you, can not wait for the wedding. The short video with a few photos is their invitation to their families and friends who will now for the first time here about it on Valentines Day!

I am always a big fan of Lebanese, Iraqi or any Middle Eastern weddings, there is just so much going on and the air is full of energy! People within these cultures truly know how to celebrate and if it is a wedding, well it becomes just magical. Music and dance is a big part of the celebrations and oh my, I can tell you....no you can experience it by watching this Video I shot during the wedding! ANDRAS! You shoot video as well? NO, hold your horses, there are Videographers for that, I just do it for fun when I have the time to do a bit of Fusion (photography/video). Okay, so the man with the Tabla, Djembe or Darbuka is non other than CHARLIE K!!! Charlie was part of the Bridal party as one of the Grooms man but Charlie also happens to be an amazing or actually there are no words for that drummer! So just watch this Video and have your SPEAKERS ON!

A couple that truly appreciates their heritage and is in love with my photography is a perfect match for me! Easy to work with and super organized, Freddy & Miranda is that couple, Freddy called me almost every day...making sure everything was good and that I am still their wedding photographer!  :)

I loved it when he said!  "Andras, its Freddy, Freddy & Miranda, you are shooting are wedding, next month, next week , in a few days, tomorrow!" He was so excited and so was I!

Watch the slideshow and listen to the music. Something has changed in me, something I have to do. I know and always new I had a purpose. You can not measure love and happiness with wealth and riches, with objects that clutter your life. You can however love each other because you have no one but each other.

Miki

So here is the verdict! First shoot with this setup, It was hard, l have to learn not to be a wedding photographer under water! Why is that? Because shallow depth of field dont work 80% of the time. Had to fight the currents, visibility was not the best, on the fly adjusting the camera for ISO, Aperture, over expose under expose is HARD! Trying to keep yourself leveled, not to bump into the coral...etc. So on the scale of 1-20 being a good photographer is not enough. For me this was level 15 Hardness of shoot was level 10 from 1-10 will get better in time. Edit was done in IMOVIE, music (just found out) after rendering for 5 hours and uploading for another 5, cuts off, crackling, sorry for that, I have no idea what's the problem. I am not going to fix it! At certain points were the video stops, its because I was taking photos also. Check out below this post. Enjoy! Andras
